Pushing the Boundaries of Rock Music
28 Seasons is a rock that balances the aesthetics of hard rock with a progressive and psychedelic bent. Dreamy soundscapes are intertwined with textured guitar riffs, complex rhythms and sonorous melodies. The band came together in 2019 as founders Pete Cornell and Chris Marrone were looking for a new outlet for the music they create together. Friends since high school Pete and Chris have played in bands together for almost two decades, and together they have experienced the ups and downs of making records, touring and managing a rock band.
The band’s distinct sound can be heard on their debut single “Trapezoidal” which exemplifies the dichotomy of their style perfectly. From the hard-hitting and drum driven intro to the meandering interludes and soaring melodies, listeners are taken on a journey that they may need to complete multiple times before truly knowing the lay of the land. The band’s style can be traced to the diversity of influences of its members from 90’s grunge bands like Soundgarden and Alice in Chains to Tool, King Crimson, Primus, Jimi Hendrix, Circa Survive, No Doubt, Radiohead and Meshuggah. Look for the band’s debut self-titled album in early Summer 2021, and catch them on tour in the Fall.
